I am 68 and grew up in Northern California. I was diagnosed with HIV almost 40 years ago and have been undetectable for more than 20 years. I never fought as a boxer in school but I come from a family of boxers as my great-grandfather was ranked the second-best boxer on the West Coast of America.

 

I was inspired to take up the sweet science after watching a documentary about the East Bay Rats Motorcycle Club Fight Night. It showed boxing was civiliSed and respectful making me determined to train as a boxer.
